Dr. Abhijit MBBS , General Physician

Mucyst contains acetylcysteine which works as an antidote in case of paracetamol overdose. It protects the liver by maintaining or restoring the glutathione levels which is an antioxidant also by detoxifying paracetamol metabolite in our body. For excessive mucus (phlegm) in respiratory diseases, Mucyst works as a mucolytic agent which softens the mucus and reduces its thickness that helps in clearing the air passage. thus providing relief to the patient from excessive mucus.
