It presents as a silver or red colored patch which may be swollen, itchy, scaly or dry. Ringworm can manifest in any part of the body, including groin (jock itch) and scalp (tenia capitis). The rash is usually ring-shaped on places other than face, neck or scalp. At times, the rash starts spreading. It should be treated using antifungal creams containing ingredients like clotrimazole, miconazole, etc.
Mytolic may cause delayed weight gain and slowed growth in children on whom it is used topically. Therefore, you must talk to a doctor before using Mytolic on children.
