Zemisol Information

Zemisol, a prescription drug, is manufactured in various forms such as Infusion. Secondary and off-label uses of Zemisol have also been mentioned below.

The optimal dosage of Zemisol is largely dependent on the individual's body weight, medical history, gender and age. Dosage also depends on the route of administration and your chief complaint for which the drug is prescribed. For detailed information on this, read through the dosage section.

Common side effects of Zemisol include Diarrhoea, Stomach cramps, Stomach Upset. Apart from the aforementioned side effects, Zemisol can also lead to other problems, which have been listed below. Such side effects of Zemisol normally do not last long and go away once the treatment is completed. Please speak with your doctor if these side effects worsen or persist for a longer duration.

It is also important to note that Zemisol has a Moderate effect for pregnant women and Mild effect on lactating mothers.   • Single Maximum Dose: 7.5 ml/kg
  • Dosage Route: Parenteral

  • Special Instructions: used in cerebral edema, rate of infusion for cerebral edema should not exceed 40 drops per minute
2 - 12 years (Child)
  • Disease: Edema

  • Is the use of Zemisol safe for pregnant women?


    Zemisol may cause moderate side effects during pregnancy. If you feel its harmful effects, then stop taking this drug immediately, and do not take Zemisol again without your doctor's advice.

    Side effects of Zemisol on breastfeeding women are very mild.

    Zemisol rarely affects the kidneys.
