Detrim Information
Detrim is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Injection, Tablet. It is primarily used for the treatment of Abdominal Pain. Detrim also has some secondary and off-label uses. These are listed below.

How does Detrim work?

Detrim contains drotaverine which is a spasmolytic agent that has anti-spasmodic properties. It works by relaxing the smooth muscles that are present in the gastrointestinal tract through the inhibition of an enzyme (phosphodiesterase-IV).
