Rabicerd contains domperidone (dopamine D2-receptor antagonist). It works by inhibiting the neurotransmitter dopamine (a chemical messenger present in our body) from acting on the vomiting center present in the brain thus preventing nausea and vomiting which provides relief to the patient from nausea and vomiting.
Ideally, Rabicerd should be taken by mouth once daily but it can be taken twice in some cases depending on the severity of symptoms or as advised by your doctor.
