Interaction between Alcohol and Spasmocip
Consult your doctor before consuming alcohol while taking Spasmocip as it can have severe side effects.
Spasmocip is a safe drug no much precautions are to be taken. However, alcohol should be completely avoided. If you have any previous history of kidney and liver diseases keep your doctor informed before taking this drug.
Although it's believed that Spasmocip works mainly in the central nervous system (Brain and Spine). It prevents the release of prostaglandin, which is responsible for increasing pain and body temperature. It effectively reduces the intensity of pain signals to the brain.
Spasmocip is a brand name for paracetamol. It is an analgesic and antipyretic medication used to treat mild to moderate pain and fever. Even WHO has considered this drug to be an essential medicine for basic healthcare requirements. Paracetamol is one of the most commonly used 'over-the-counter' medicine. It is often prescribed as one of the first-line treatment options for pain and fever with minimum side effects.
An overdose occurs when more than the required amount (toxic levels) of [medicine] is taken. Initial symptoms of Spasmocip overdose includes loss of appetite, drowsiness, seizures, abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. Later progressive symptoms may include pain in your upper stomach, dark colored urine, yellowing of your skin or the white patches in your eyes, liver damage and in rare cases, it can also lead to coma. So, by any chance, if you have accidentally taken more than the required dose of Spasmocip inform your doctor immediately.
Spasmocip is primarily not used to treat a common cold and sore throat. It can only relieve cold-related symptoms such as a fever, headache, earache, and aching joints. It doesn't help in relieving cough or stuffy nose.
