Vomigo Information

Vomigo is a prescription drug, available for use as Drops, Tablet. Nausea and Vomiting are some of its major therapeutic uses.

How to take Vomigo?

Vomigo is available in form of tablet, syrup, and injection. It should be taken as per your doctor's instructions. Ideally, Vomigo has to be taken with food to avoid stomach upset. The initial dose is usually taken half an hour before chemotherapy, 1 to 2 hours before radiation therapy and 1 hour before a surgery. Additional doses can be suggested by the doctor as per the individual requirements.

Yes, Vomigo is usually administered before and after surgery for treating post-anesthesia shivering (PAS) and nausea. PAS is a condition in which tremors of head, neck, trunk, shoulder, and extremities. It greatly reduces the quality of life of a patient since it causes discomfort and increases pain. It disturbs surgical care and increases the stress on cardiopulmonary functions. Hence as a precautionary measure, this medicine is administered to prevent unpleasant anesthetic effects.
