Dermitop Information

Dermitop is a prescription drug, available for use as Cream, Lotion, Spray. Allergy, Asthma, Cancer: causes, symptoms, treatment, medicines, prevention and medicines are some of its major therapeutic uses. Dermitop also has some secondary and off-label uses. These are listed below.

The right dosage of Dermitop depends on the age, gender, and medical history of the patient. Individual symptoms and route of administration also determines the right dosage. For detailed information on this, read through the dosage section.

The side effects typically associated with Dermitop include Skin Rash. Besides the aforementioned side effects, there are other adverse effects of Dermitop as well, which are listed below. Normally, these side effects of Dermitop are not long lasting and go away when the treatment is finished. Please speak with your doctor if these side effects worsen or persist for a longer duration.

Why Dermitop is given along with vitamin B 12?

This is because a long-term use of Dermitop can cause Vitamin B12 deficiency. Stomach acids help in the absorption of Vitamin B 12, and this drug suppresses stomach acid which is required for the absorption of vitamin B12. Hence patients taking Dermitop for a long time have Vitamin B12 deficiency. To replenish Vitamin B12 in your body your doctor prescribes this vitamin along with this medicine.

However, few side effects are observed at therapeutic doses such as fluid retention (swelling in your hands or ankles), increased appetite, increased sweating, and stomach upset.
