Cebran is a prescription drug, available for use as Tablet, Drops. Primarily, it is used for the treatment of Urinary Tract Infection, Bacterial Infections. Cebran also has some secondary and off-label uses. These are listed below.
The right dosage of Cebran depends on the age, gender, and medical history of the patient. The condition it has been prescribed for, and the route of administration also determine the right dosage. This information has been provided in detail in the dosage section.
While these are the most often observed Cebran side effects, there are can be others also. These have been listed below. Usually, these side effects of Cebran go away soon, and do not persist beyond the duration of the treatment. If, however, they worsen or do not go away, please speak with your physician.
Cebran's effect during pregnancy is Moderate and Moderate while nursing. In addition, Cebran's effects on the liver, heart and kidney are discussed below in the Cebran related warnings section.
Cebran can cause adverse effects in certain medical conditions. It is strongly recommended to avoid Cebran in conditions like Arrhythmia, Heart Disease, Myasthenia Gravis (MG). The section on Cebran contraindications lists all such conditions.

Cebran can have harmful effects in pregnant women. If you experience any discomfort after using Cebran, then discontinue the use and take your doctor's advice.

Interaction between Food and Cebran
Taking Cebran with food can create severe side effects. Discuss this with your doctor.
Interaction between Alcohol and Cebran
Taking alcohol with Cebran can be dangerous.
Cebran and doxylamine can be taken together, as there are no reported harmful interactions between them. However, it doesn't mean that no interactions exist between them. Please take if prescribed by a doctor.
Cebran should be taken with a meal. Drink plenty of fluids while you are taking this medicine. Drinking extra water will help prevent some unwanted effects of this medicine. Do not take this medicine along with milk, yogurt, or other dairy products may reduce the absorption of a drug. Take it exactly as directed by the physician.
It is recommended to avoid taking Cebran with azithromycin because it can cause problems. However, if your doctor has prescribed it to you take it as per his/her advice. In case you are experiencing breathing difficulties, palpitations and pain in the chest please inform your doctor immediately.
Cebran is not recommended as the first-line of a drug for treating a sinus infection. However, if there are no other alternatives available then you can take it. Keep your doctor informed.
Do not take Cebran along with dairy products such as milk or yogurt or calcium-containing foods. Dairy products may affect the absorption of the medicine directly affecting the efficacy of this drug. Hence, avoid taking Cebran with calcium-rich foods.
