Nitron Information

Nitron, a prescription drug, is manufactured in various forms such as Syrup. Primarily, it is used for the treatment of Nausea and Vomiting.

Medical history of the patient along with age and gender determines the dosage of Nitron. The condition it has been prescribed for, and the route of administration also determine the right dosage. Detailed information has been provided in the dosage section.

Besides the aforementioned side effects, there are other adverse effects of Nitron as well, which are listed below. Normally, these side effects of Nitron are not long lasting and go away when the treatment is finished. Please speak with your doctor if these side effects worsen or persist for a longer duration.

How to take Nitron?

Nitron is available in form of tablet, syrup, and injection. It should be taken as per your doctor's instructions. Ideally, Nitron has to be taken with food to avoid stomach upset. The initial dose is usually taken half an hour before chemotherapy, 1 to 2 hours before radiation therapy and 1 hour before a surgery. Additional doses can be suggested by the doctor as per the individual requirements.

Yes, Nitron can be taken with pantoprazole as there are no records of any drug interaction. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor which is used for treating acidity. Acidity can be managed by avoiding eating acidic and spicy foods, avoiding smoking, and avoiding sleep within 3 hours of taking meals.

Nitron is a brand name for ondansetron. It belongs to a class of compounds known as serotonin type 3 receptor antagonists. It is available in the form of tablet and injection.
