Alrik Information

Alrik is a prescription medicine that is available as a Tablet. Gout, High Uric Acid Levels in the Blood are some of its major therapeutic uses. Other than this, Alrik has some other therapeutic uses, which have been discussed ahead.

How does Alrik work?

Alrik contains allopurinol that belongs to the class of drugs known as xanthine oxidase inhibitors. It works by inhibiting the xanthine oxidase enzyme (Responsible for uric acid production in our body) that lead to disruption in the biosynthesis of uric acid due to which its abnormally high levels are decreased in the body. The decreased levels of uric acid prevent the formation of uric acid crystals and calcium oxalate crystals. Hence, in this way, it prevents from gout.

Does Alrik cause hair loss?
