Question about 5 years ago

How does Linomax work?

Dr. Bharat MBBS , General Physician

Linomax is a broad-spectrum antibiotic which is active against gram-positive bacteria and certain gram-negative bacteria. It works by preventing the protein synthesis in bacteria which are essential for it. The absence of these vital proteins results in stunned bacterial cell growth due to which bacteria become vulnerable and dies. Linomax is effective against a wide range of gram-positive bacteria and some gram-negative bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus agalactiae, and Enterococcus faecium.
