Can I take Mazz for treating an abscess?

Mazz is a brand name for azithromycin. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of medication called macrolide antibiotic. It is used to treat a bacterial infection such as throat infection, respiratory tract infections, ear infections, and certain sexually transmitted diseases. It is also sometimes coupled with other antibiotics and medications to effectively treat infections such as Mycobacterium avium complex infection.

Yes, Mazz can treat gonorrhea and chlamydia. For the mild infection, a single dose is given whereas in case of severe infection treatment should be given for at least one week, and response should be closely monitored by a doctor.
