Myloric Information

Myloric is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Tablet. It is primarily used for the treatment of Gout, High Uric Acid Levels in the Blood. Secondary and off-label uses of Myloric have also been mentioned below.

The optimal dosage of Myloric is largely dependent on the individual's body weight, medical history, gender and age. No, Myloric is not a uricosuric agent which promotes the excretion of uric acid from the body. Myloric contains allopurinol which is an antigout agent that belongs to the class of drugs known as xanthine oxidase inhibitors. It decreases the production of uric acid by inhibiting xanthine oxidase enzyme which is essential for the biosynthesis of uric acid.
