Gentopic Information

Yes, Gentopic is safe to use, if taken in a prescribed amount for a specified time as advised by the doctor. However, few side effects are observed at therapeutic doses such as fluid retention (swelling in your hands or ankles), increased appetite, increased sweating, and stomach upset. Do not hesitate to inform your doctor if you are facing any of the above.

Can I take Gentopic with antibiotic?

Yes, Gentopic can be taken with an antibiotic. Taking Gentopic with a certain antibiotic (Clarithromycin) can treat H.Pylori associated stomach infection. However, it is best to consult your doctor before taking these two medicines together.

Can I discontinue Gentopic on my own without doctors advice?

No, Gentopic Should not be stopped or discontinued without doctors advice. You are recommended to always consult a doctor before discontinuing this medicine. Suddenly stopping Gentopic can cause withdrawal symptoms such as fever, joint pain, and feeling of discomfort. To avoid the withdrawal symptoms, the dosage of this drug should be reduced gradually. Please consult your doctor if you are experiencing any withdrawal symptoms after stopping/discounting it on your own.

Can Gentopic cause hiccups?
