Hedfree is a prescription drug, hence do not take it without consulting doctor. It can be harmful to the patients to take this medicine without a doctor's advice.
Hedfree contains naproxen (which is a pain-killer) that works by reversibly inhibiting enzymes (cyclooxygenase-1 and -2 also known as COX-1 and -2) which produces prostaglandin. Prostaglandin is presumed to be responsible for causing pain and inflammation in the body. Inhibition of these enzymes results in decreased synthesis of prostaglandins which provides relief to the patient from pain and inflammation caused by arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis.
Yes, Hedfree is a pain-killer because it contains naproxen that belongs to the class of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) which possess analgesic (pain-killer) activity. It works by reversibly inhibiting enzymes (cyclooxygenase-1 and -2 also known as COX-1 and -2) which produces prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are responsible for causing pain in the body. Inhibition of these enzymes results in decreased synthesis of prostaglandins which provides relief to the patient from pain.
Rarely, Hedfree causes constipation. However, if you are experiencing severe constipation after taking this drug then inform your doctor and take precautionary methods such as eating fibrous foods avoid spicy food and drink plenty of water to prevent constipation.
Take Hedfree as advised by your doctor. However, long-term use is not recommended because this medicine contains naproxen which belongs to the class of drugs known as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Use of Hedfree for a long time can be associated with gastrointestinal ulcers and bleeding. Hence take this medicine as prescribed do not exceed unnecessarily.
