Mytic Information

Mytic is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Injection, Syrup, Tablet. It is primarily used for the treatment of Nausea and Vomiting.

The optimal dosage of Mytic is largely dependent on the individual's body weight, medical history, gender and age. Individual symptoms and route of administration also determines the right dosage. For detailed information on this, read through the dosage section.

Besides the aforementioned side effects, there are other adverse effects of Mytic as well, which are listed below. Usually, these side effects of Mytic go away soon, and do not persist beyond the duration of the treatment. Consult your doctor if these side effects become worse or stay for a longer duration.

Furthermore, you should know that effect of Mytic is Safe for pregnant women and Mild for women who are breastfeeding. It is important to know if Mytic has any effect on the kidney, liver and heart. Information on such adverse effects, if any, has been given in the Mytic related warnings section.

How to take Mytic?

Mytic is available in form of tablet, syrup, and injection. It should be taken as per your doctor's instructions. Ideally, Mytic has to be taken with food to avoid stomach upset. The initial dose is usually taken half an hour before chemotherapy, 1 to 2 hours before radiation therapy and 1 hour before a surgery. Additional doses can be suggested by the doctor as per the individual requirements.

Yes, Mytic can be taken with pantoprazole as there are no records of any drug interaction. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor which is used for treating acidity. Acidity can be managed by avoiding eating acidic and spicy foods, avoiding smoking, and avoiding sleep within 3 hours of taking meals.

Does Mytic cause headache?

Yes, headache is one of the common side effects of Mytic. Apply balms and take a mild painkiller if a headache is of throbbing nature.
