Interaction between Alcohol and Promotil Tr

Yes, you can take Promotil Tr and xanax (alprazolam) together but only on your doctor's advice because taking both of them together might lower the blood pressure (hypotension).
Promotil Tr may be used for alcohol withdrawal. Clinical studies have found that it can reduce the physical withdrawal symptoms but it is ineffective in preventing the seizures due to alcohol withdrawal also it is not approved and preferred. Since it is a prescription drug, you are advised not to take this drug by yourself for alcohol withdrawal.
