Interaction between Food and Clarocef
Taking Clarocef with food does not cause any problems.
Interaction between Alcohol and Clarocef
No research has been done on this till date. Therefore, it is not known what the effect of taking Clarocef with alcohol will be.
Clarocef and doxycycline can be taken together, as there are no reported harmful interactions between them. However, it doesn't mean that no interactions exist between them. Please take if prescribed by a doctor.
Do not self-administer Clarocef. It comes in the form of injection and preferably taken 1 - 2 times in a day (Intravenously or Intramuscularly). Take this medicine in the required quantity and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Discontinuing the a in between may promote resistant bacteria which result in a relapse of the infection. You are recommended to complete the 7 - 14 days course even after getting symptomatic relief. In case you feel any discomfort such as breathing difficulties and skin reactions while taking this medicine please inform your doctor immediately.
Rarely Clarocef can cause neurotoxicity. It is a reversible side effect of this drug, the symptoms caused due to drug-induced neurotoxicity often disappear after this drug is stopped. However, if you experience convulsions, agitation, weakness and severe nausea do not hesitate to inform your doctor without any further delay.
Clarocef is a brand name for ceftriaxone. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of medication called cephalosporins. It is a broad spectrum antibiotic, used for treating bacterial infections, such as bronchitis, gonorrhea, respiratory, ear, throat, and urinary tract infection.
