Sodium Citrate is a brand name of sodium citrate. It belongs to the class of drugs known as alkalinizing agents. It is a prescription drug which is used for the treatment of gout (a type of arthritis that occurs due to formation and deposition of uric acid crystals in the joints) and prevention of nephrolithiasis (kidney stones).
