Alcid S

Alcid S is a prescription drug, available for use as Syrup. It is typically used for the treatment of Peptic Ulcer. Other than this, Alcid S has some other therapeutic uses, which have been discussed ahead.

The optimal dosage of Alcid S is largely dependent on the individual's body weight, medical history, gender and age. Dosage also depends on the route of administration and your chief complaint for which the drug is prescribed. This information has been provided in detail in the dosage section.

Alcid S also has some side effects, the most common being Constipation. Apart from the aforementioned side effects, Alcid S can also lead to other problems, which have been listed below. Normally, these side effects of Alcid S are not long lasting and go away when the treatment is finished. Please speak with your doctor if these side effects worsen or persist for a longer duration.

In addition, Alcid S's effect is Unknown during pregnancy and Unknown for lactating mothers. In addition, Alcid S's effects on the liver, heart and kidney are discussed below in the Alcid S related warnings section.

Alcid S is not recommended if you suffer from certain medical conditions as it can have adverse effects. Diabetes are examples of such conditions. The section on Alcid S contraindications lists all such conditions.
