Interaction between Food and Alclav

Interaction between Alcohol and Alclav
No research has been done on this till date. Therefore, it is not known what the effect of taking Alclav with alcohol will be.
Alclav can be safely taken as prescribed by your doctor. Do not discontinue the medicine suddenly or take it longer than prescribed duration.
Yes, Alclav can be taken with cough medicine. Clinically no harmful drug-drug interactions have been reported between them. However, if you feel any side effects after taking these two medicines at the same time, please inform the doctor and follow his/her instructions.
Discontinuing Alclav on your own can increase the chances of bacterial resistance. It is recommended that you always consult your doctor before discontinuing medicine on your own.
Alclav works by inhibiting the growth of the bacterial cell wall which is essential for the growth of bacteria. Hence, in this way, it prevents us from bacterial infections.
Alclav should be ideally taken with food(a light meal). Take this medicine in the required quantity and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Discontinuing the medicine in between may promote resistant bacteria which result in a relapse of the infection. You are recommended to complete the 3 - 7-day course even after getting symptomatic relief.
