Delpoclav Information

Delpoclav is a prescription medicine that is available as a Suspension, Tablet. Secondary and off-label uses of Delpoclav have also been mentioned below.

Medical history of the patient along with age and gender determines the dosage of Delpoclav. Individual symptoms and route of administration also determines the right dosage. Refer to the dosage section for a detailed discussion.

Some other side effects of Delpoclav have been listed ahead. Usually, these side effects of Delpoclav go away soon, and do not persist beyond the duration of the treatment. If, however, they worsen or do not go away, please speak with your physician.

In addition, Delpoclav's effect is Safe during pregnancy and Safe for lactating mothers. In addition, Delpoclav's effects on the liver, heart and kidney are discussed below in the Delpoclav related warnings section.

Delpoclav is contraindicated in people with pre-existing medical conditions like Hepatitis, Kidney Disease, Jaundice as it can result in adverse effects. Other contraindications of Delpoclav have been discussed in the sections ahead.

Delpoclav Dosage & How to Take

This is the usual dosage recommended in most common treatment cases. Please remember that every patient and their case is different, so the dosage can be different based on the disease, route of administration, patient's age and medical history.

  • Single Maximum Dose: 5 ml
  • Dosage Route: Oral
  • Frequency: 8 hourly
  • Course Duration: 10 days
  • Special Instructions: dose should be given to patients above 3 months, strength 125 mg amoxicillin and 31.25 mg clavulanic acid in 5 ml
Neonates (0 to 1 month)
  • Disease:
  • Before or After Meal: Either
  • Single Maximum Dose: 15 mg/kg
  • Dosage Route: Oral
  • Frequency: 12 hourly
  • Course Duration: 10 days
  • Special Instructions: dose should be given to patients less than 12 weeks old, strength 125 mg amoxicillin and 31.25 mg clavulanic acid in 5 ml
