What is Ibruvon Forte?

Ibruvon Forte is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which is used for the treatment of tenderness, swelling, stiffness, and pain associated with osteoarthritis in which there is a breakdown of the lining of the joints, and rheumatoid arthritis in which there is swelling of the lining of the joints. It is also used for alleviation of the menstrual pain, before and during the menstrual cycle. It is also used to relieve fever and pain associated with a headache, minor aches, sprains, common cold, toothache, and backache. It also shows the antiplatelet effect which means it prevents the formation of blood clots. Ibruvon Forte is used for the treatment of psoriatic arthritis (a chronic skin disease causing scaling and swelling), gouty arthritis (which develops from the built up of some chemical in the joints) and ankylosing spondylitis (arthritis that affects the spine).

Yes, Ibruvon Forte can cause weight gain. Weight gain is one of the adverse effects of taking it as it causes fluid retention or worsens the existing fluid retention. How to take Ibruvon Forte?

Ibruvon Forte is available in the form of a tablet, chewable tablet, suspension and drops, and syrup. Prescription Ibruvon Forte is taken every 4 to 6 hours for arthritis and pain. Adults and children older than 12 years may take non-prescription Ibruvon Forte every 4 to 6 hours. Children and infants may be given Ibruvon Forte every 6 to 8 hours. It is important to take Ibruvon Forte with food or milk so as to prevent stomach upset. If you are taking Ibruvon Forte every day, remember to take it at the same time. Ibruvon Forte is also available in combination with other drugs for treating cold and cough. If you have prescribed a combination containing Ibruvon Forte, do not take any non-prescription drug containing Ibruvon Forte as it might cause overdosage. Shake the drops and suspensions well before use.
