Oflomine is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Tablet. Primarily, it is used for the treatment of Urinary Tract Infection, Ear Infection, Bacterial Infections. Other than this, Oflomine has some other therapeutic uses, which have been discussed ahead.
The correct dosage of Oflomine depends on the patient's age, gender, and medical history. No, the use of Oflomine in mental disorders is not effective.
Interaction between Food and Oflomine
Eating certain foods may increase the time it takes Oflomine to have an effect. You should consult your doctor about it.
Interaction between Alcohol and Oflomine
Consumption of alcohol and Oflomine together may have severe effects on your health.
It is recommended to avoid taking Oflomine with azithromycin because it can cause heart-related problems. However, if your doctor has prescribed it to you take it as per his/her advice. In case you are experiencing breathing difficulties, palpitations and pain in the chest please inform your doctor immediately.
Oflomine can be taken with doxycycline. No drug-drug interactions are reported between them. Doxycyclin also does not affect the absorption of this drug. However, it doesn't mean that no interaction could exist. Please consult your doctor, if you feel any complication after consuming these two medicines at the same time.
Oflomine is not recommended as the first-line of drug for treating sinus infection. However, if there are no other alternatives available then you can take it, after doctor's advice.
Discontinuing Oflomine on your own can increase the chances of bacterial resistance and infection relapse. It is recommended that you always consult your doctor if you have decided to discontinue this medicine.
Oflomine should be taken with a meal. Drink plenty of fluids while you are taking this medicine. Drinking extra water will help prevent some unwanted effects of this medicine. Do not take this medicine along with milk, yogurt, or other dairy products, it may reduce the absorption of a drug. Take it exactly as directed by the physician.
