Interaction between Alcohol and Sotret NF

Sotret NF is only indicated for the treatment of acne (severe recalcitrant nodular acne) not for the cure of acne scars.
Sotret NF works by decreasing the production of sebum and reducing the size of sebaceous glands temporarily. It also prevents the formation of small bumps along with decreasing the inflammation.
Take Sotret NF as advised by your doctor. Usually, it is taken for a duration of 15 to 20 weeks. Do not take the drug longer than prescribed. This drug comes with its own advantages and disadvantages. This drug should not be taken or applied by pregnant ladies at any cost. This drug can prove very fatal for the unborn fetus.
Sotret NF causes skin darkening (hyperpigmentation) in a few cases. This occurs very rarely. There are some Over the counter (OTC) drugs are available in the market which can help in lightening dark spots.
Yes, Sotret NF causes dryness of skin but only in few cases. It is a known side effect of this drug. For mild dryness, you can use petroleum jelly for moisturization. If you experience excessive dryness of the skin after using this drug, then consult your doctor and follow his/her instructions.
