No, Bactiderm alone should not be used for jock itch also known as tinea cruris because it is a fungal infection and Bactiderm is not an antifungal agent and it is not effective against fungi. Hence Bactiderm should not be used for the treatment of jock itch. For the treatment of jock itch, you can use a combination of Bactiderm and antifungal drugs such as miconazole and fluconazole.
Yes, Bactiderm might cause dry skin in few cases only. However, the exact cause behind dry skin is unknown. If you are experiencing excessive dryness of skin after applying this drug then you are advised to use a skin moisturizer. Skin moisturizer should be applied only after 30 minutes of applying this drug so that the Bactiderm can be absorbed by the skin.
