How to take Cortijesik?

Cortijesik comes as a tablet and a suspension (liquid) and it should be taken by mouth once daily or as advised by your doctor. Precautions must be taken in patients with improper liver or kidney function, hypertension and diabetes. Do no take deflazacort with grapefruit juice (chakotra). Grapefruit juice may increase the blood levels of this medicine which can lead to very unpleasant side effects.

Yes, Cortijesik may cause weight gain in some cases. This may be caused due to increased appetite and fluid retention in patients taking this medicine. You are recommended to adopt a healthy lifestyle which includes a balanced diet along with 30 mins of physical workout. Cortijesik is a brand name of deflazacort. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of drugs called steroids (corticosteroid).
