No, you should not take alcohol with Glutamet, because it can cause serious side effects which includes hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). The risk of hypoglycemia is higher when you're drinking and taking Glutamet than if you're just taking Glutamet. Some of the signs of hypoglycemia include dizziness, confusion, and drowsiness.
Yes, Glutamet can be taken with the statin. There is no serious or harmful interaction have been observed between them. Some studies say that it's possible your blood sugar (blood glucose) level may increase when you take a statin, which may lead to developing type 2 diabetes.
