Morphine is a prescription medicine. It is primarily used for the treatment of Pain. The alternative uses of Morphine have also been explained below.

Geriatric

  • Single Maximum Dose: 0.2 mg/kg
  • Dosage Route: Oral
  • Frequency: 4 hourly
  • Course Duration: As directed by the doctor
  • Special Instructions: Take as needed, Dose of SC are also same
13 - 18 years (Adolescent)
  • Disease: Pain
  • Before or After Meal: As advised by a physician
  • Single Maximum Dose: 10 mg
  • Dosage Route: Parenteral
  • Frequency: 4 hourly
  • Course Duration: As directed by the doctor
  • Special Instructions: administered slowly over 4 to 5 minutes, Dose range: 2.5 to 10 mg

  • Is the use of Morphine safe for pregnant women?


    Morphine can cause unwanted side effects in pregnant women. If you experience any side effects, stop taking Morphine right away. Take your doctor's advice before taking it again.
