Novacor Plus should be applied 1 - 2 times a day or as advised by your doctor. Novacor Plus should be applied after cleaning the infected area, allow it to dry, and then gently rub the medication till it disappears. Do not forget to wash your hands after applying this drug.

Can Novacor Plus be used for jock itch?

No, Novacor Plus alone should not be used for jock itch also known as tinea cruris because it is a fungal infection and Novacor Plus is not an antifungal agent and it is not effective against fungi. Hence Novacor Plus should not be used for the treatment of jock itch. For the treatment of jock itch, you can use a combination of Novacor Plus and antifungal drugs such as miconazole and fluconazole.

Yes, Novacor Plus is a steroid. It contains clobetasol which is a potent corticosteroid. It should not be confused with anabolic-androgenic steroids which are used by some bodybuilders without prescription to build muscle mass.

Does Novacor Plus cause dry skin?

Yes, Novacor Plus might cause dry skin in few cases only. However, the exact cause behind dry skin is unknown. If you are experiencing excessive dryness of skin after applying this drug then you are advised to use a skin moisturizer. Skin moisturizer should be applied only after 30 minutes of applying this drug so that the Novacor Plus can be absorbed by the skin.
