Ondanbic Information

Ondanbic is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Syrup, Tablet. It is typically used for the treatment of Nausea and Vomiting.

Medical history of the patient along with age and gender determines the dosage of Ondanbic. Besides the medical condition it is advised for, the route of administration also plays an important role in determining the correct drug dosage.     Yes, Ondanbic can be taken for the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea. Irritable bowel syndrome is a common gastrointestinal disorder affecting a lot of people. The disease can be controlled by altering the diet and eating more of fibre and less of fats, alcohol, caffeine and spicy food.     Yes, Ondanbic is safe to be used in children from 6 months to 12 years of age. Apart from preventing nausea and vomiting related to chemotherapy and radiation, Ondanbic can be used in this population group for managing acute gastritis. Acute gastritis presents itself as a self-limited infection with vomiting leading to dehydration and electrolyte imbalances. Always check with a child specialist and do not administer this drug yourself.
