How to take Sefza?

Sefza comes as a tablet and a suspension (liquid) and it should be taken by mouth once daily or as advised by your doctor. Precautions must be taken in patients with improper liver or kidney function, hypertension and diabetes. Do no take deflazacort with grapefruit juice (chakotra). Grapefruit juice may increase the blood levels of this medicine which can lead to very unpleasant side effects.

Does [Medicne] cause low potassium?

Yes, only if Sefza is taken along with any one of these drugs which are bumetanide, ethacrynic acid, furosemide, and torsemide then it may lead to low potassium levels in the blood. Taking this medicine with one of these drugs can result in increased loss of potassium from your body. It is recommended to avoid these medicines if you are taking Sefza.
