Tranzex contains tramadol which is an opioid analgesic (pain-killer). It is presumed that tramadol provides relief from pain by binding to certain receptors (mu-opioid receptors) in our brain and by preventing the reuptake of chemical messengers (neurotransmitters) serotonin and norepinephrine. In this way Tranzex provides relief to the patient from moderate to severe pain.
Yes, Tranzex cause low blood pressure (hypotension) in a few cases only. It is a rare side effect of this drug. However, the exact cause of low blood pressure is unknown. If you are experiencing lightheadedness or blurry vision (symptoms of low blood pressure) after taking this drug then try to sit down and take rest for a while till it subsides.
