Yes Zoal can be taken with Benadryl (diphenhydramine). Benadryl does not appear to interfere with the efficacy of Zoal. Hence, it is alright to take them together. However, if you feel any discomfort after taking this drug do not hesitate to inform your doctor.

Zoal contains zolpidem which is a sedative & hypnotic agent. It is presumed that zolpidem works by producing the calming effect on the brain by decreasing the excessive neuronal activity of the brain which induces sleep.

No, Zoal is not addictive but it can lead to dependency if taken in higher doses for the longer duration. Since Zoal is prescribed for the short-duration treatment of insomnia, you are advised not to take in more than the recommended doses and for a longer duration to avoid dependency on this drug for inducing sleep.
