Fibrovas comes in form of a tablet and ideally, it should be taken by mouth once daily as advised by your doctor. It can be taken with food or without food at any time of the day. Precautions must be taken in patients with liver disease, diabetes, and hypothyroidism.
Fibrovas works by inhibiting an enzyme (HMG-CoA reductase) which is responsible for cholesterol synthesis in our body, its inhibition results in increased levels of HDL (good cholesterol) and decreased levels of LDL (bad cholesterol) which lowers the risk of developing heart disease and helps in preventing strokes
Yes, Fibrovas has been reported to cause diarrhea but this occurs in a few cases only. It is the most common side effect of this medicine. Drink plenty of fluids while you are taking this medicine. If you are experiencing severe diarrhea after taking this drug, consult your doctor immediately without any further delay.
Yes, Fibrovas might cause hair loss but it occurs very rarely. This problem goes away after discontinuation of the drug. However, if you notice excessive hair loss then consult it with your doctor.
Yes, Fibrovas can be taken in the morning. It can be taken anytime once in a day with food or without food or as advised by your doctor.
