No, Dextromethorphan is not suitable for a patient with asthma. Dextromethorphan is suitable for treating cough originating from cold and flu. It is not suitable for treating cough due to smoking or asthma. Asthma is generally treated with two type of medication which are long-term control and quick-relief medicine.
