Lets Information

Lets, containing the active ingredient Letrozole, is a non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor used primarily in the treatment of hormone receptor-positive breast cancer in postmenopausal women. It works by decreasing estrogen levels, which helps slow or reverse the growth of estrogen-sensitive tumors.

Uses

  • Extended Adjuvant Treatment: After standard tamoxifen therapy.

  • Advanced Breast Cancer: First-line treatment for hormone receptor-positive or unknown metastatic breast cancer.

Mechanism of Action

Letrozole inhibits the enzyme aromatase, responsible for converting androgens into estrogens. By lowering estrogen levels, it helps reduce the growth of estrogen-dependent cancer cells.
