Dr. Amit Singh MBBS , General Physician

Parasafe T is a brand name of tramadol and it comes in the form of a tablet, capsule, and injection. It belongs to the class of drug known as an opioid analgesic. It is a prescription drug that is used to provide relief from moderate to severe pain.

Question over 5 years ago

How does Parasafe T work?

Dr. Kishan Barnwal MBBS , General Physician

Parasafe T contains tramadol which is an opioid analgesic (pain-killer). It is presumed that tramadol provides relief from pain by binding to certain receptors (mu-opioid receptors) in our brain and by preventing the reuptake of chemical messengers (neurotransmitters) serotonin and norepinephrine. In this way Parasafe T provides relief to the patient from moderate to severe pain.
