Sumo should not be taken when a person has been detected with dengue. This is because nimesulide may cause internal bleeding which can be fatal during dengue. To bring down fever in dengue patients, paracetamol can be given along with plenty of fluids such as soups, juices, and water.  No, Sumo does not cause drowsiness because prescribed Sumo has no effect on the central nervous system but an overdose of Sumo may lead to lethargy, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, drowsiness, gastrointestinal bleeding. Hypertension, acute renal failure, coma, and respiratory depression may occur but are rare.
