Trexjoy contains methotrexate which is a chemotherapy drug that works in cancer by preventing the DNA synthesis of cancerous cells. It inhibits dihydrofolic acid reductase enzyme which is important for the formation of tetrahydrofolate. Tetrahydrofolate is essential for the synthesis of some DNA components of the cancerous cells. Incase of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases such as psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, and Crohn's disease Trexjoy works by suppressing the body's normal immune response to inflammation.
