It belongs to the class of drugs known as centrally acting alpha-agonist antihypertensive drugs. Clonidine is a prescription drug that is used in the management of hypertension (high blood pressure) and extended release form tablet is used to treat ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder).
