Yes, Libocalm might lower blood pressure (hypotension). It is a rare side effect of this drug. If you are experiencing dizziness or lightheadedness after taking this drug which is a symptom of low blood pressure, then you are advised to lay down immediately till it subsides and drink salty water.
Yes, Libocalm causes withdrawal symptoms when the drug is suddenly discontinued after long-term treatment. These withdrawal symptoms can include seizures, dysphoria (unease or dissatisfaction), vomiting, sweating, uncontrollable shaking of a part of your body, stomach or muscle cramps, anxiety, or difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep.
Yes, Libocalm can make you sleepy because it crosses the blood-brain barrier (a membrane that prevents the drugs from entering into the brain). After entering into the brain this drug calms the brain by increasing the activity of inhibitory neurotransmitter gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) that results in drowsiness. It is the most common side effect of this medicine. Activities such as driving and operating heavy machinery should be avoided after taking this Libocalm to prevent accidents and injuries as it causes drowsiness.
