Yes, Norvalette causes withdrawal symptoms when the drug is suddenly discontinued after long-term treatment. These withdrawal symptoms can include seizures, dysphoria (unease or dissatisfaction), vomiting, sweating, uncontrollable shaking of a part of your body, stomach or muscle cramps, anxiety, or difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep.
Yes, Norvalette is safe to use, if taken in prescribed amount and duration as advised by the doctor. However, certain side effects have been associated with this drug such as ataxia (which is lack of muscle coordination during voluntary movement), drowsiness, and confusion.
