No, Mahagenta does not contains steroids. It contains gentamicin (an antibiotic) which is used to treat bacterial infection.
The injectable form of this drug should be taken as per doctor guidance only. Duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of infections. Put 1 -2 drops of eye drop every 4-8 hours or as directed by the doctor and eye ointment is applied 2 - 4 times or directed by the doctor.
Yes, Mahagenta may cause hallucinations infrequently in a few cases only. If you are experiencing hallucinations after taking this drug then you are advised to discuss it with your doctor without further delay.
