It is used in the treatment of the number of bacterial infections such as tonsillitis, pneumonia, bronchitis, gonorrhea, and infection of ear, nose, throat, skin, urinary tract. It is also used in combination with other antibiotic medications such as clarithromycin to treat stomach ulcer caused by Helicobacter pylori bacteria.
Yes, AC Duo DS can be taken with cough medicine. Clinically no harmful drug-drug interactions have been reported between them. However, if you feel any side effects after taking these two medicines at the same time, please inform the doctor and follow his/her instructions.
Yes, AC Duo DS can cause diarrhea by disturbing bacterial flora of the gut. It is a common side effect of this drug. However, if you are experiencing severe diarrhea after consuming this medicine inform the doctor immediately and check if you can discontinue the medicine.
AC Duo DS should be ideally taken with food(a light meal). Take this medicine in the required quantity and duration as prescribed by your doctor.
