Aspent Information

Aspent is a prescription medicine that is available as a Tablet. It is primarily used for the treatment of Fever, Heart Attack, Angina. Aspent also has some secondary and off-label uses. These are listed below.

Aspent is a brand name of aspirin. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of medication called NSAIDs (Nonsteroidal Antiinflammatory Drugs). It is used in the treatment of a headache (including a mild migraine), fever, acute rheumatic fever, backache, myalgia, joint pain, pulled muscle, toothache, neuralgias and dysmenorrhoea, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, post-myocardial infarction, and post-stroke.

Can Aspent be used for toothache?

Ideally Aspent is not prescribed by a doctor for a toothache. However, in the absence of painkillers such as ibuprofen, acetaminophen, naproxen etc, aspirin can be taken to get instant relief from tooth pain. Generally, for treating toothache arising due to dental cavities and dental procedures ibuprofen along with antibiotics are recommended by dentists to reduce swelling and pain.
