Interaction between Alcohol and Delpoceft
Consuming Delpoceft with alcohol can have many serious effects on your body.
Delpoceft can be taken orally or intravenously. Medicine should be ideally taken with food(a light meal). Take this medicine in the required quantity and duration as prescribed by your doctor.
Yes, Delpoceft can be taken with paracetamol, no clinically significant interactions are seen between these two. However, it doesn't mean that no interaction exists between them. Please talk to your doctor before consuming these two medicines at the same time.
Delpoceft works by inhibiting the growth of bacterial cell wall which is essential for the growth of bacteria. Hence, in this way, it prevents us from bacterial infection.
Discontinuing Delpoceft in between may promote resistant to bacteria which result in relapse of infection. You are recommended to complete the 7 - 14 days course even after getting symptomatic relief. In case you feel any discomfort such as breathing difficulties and skin reactions while taking this medicine please inform your doctor immediately.
Yes, Delpoceft can cause diarrhea by disturbing bacterial flora of gut. It is a common side effect of this drug. However, if you are experiencing severe diarrhea after consuming this medicine inform the doctor immediately and check if you can discontinue the medicine. Try keeping yourself hydrated, drink plenty of fluids and take ample rest.
