Forit Information

Forit is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Tablet. It is primarily used for the treatment of Ear Infection, Tonsillitis, Pneumonia. Secondary and off-label uses of Forit have also been mentioned below.

The optimal dosage of Forit is largely dependent on the individual's body weight, medical history, gender and age. Dosage also depends on the route of administration and your chief complaint for which the drug is prescribed. Detailed information has been provided in the dosage section.

No harmful interactions are found between Forit and alcohol, it does not reduce the effectiveness of the drug. However, alcohol can cause liver damage and dehydration in some people which may increase the severity of side effects, if taken together. So, it is better to avoid taking alcohol with Forit.

Can Forit treat gonorrhea and chlamydia?

Yes, Forit can treat gonorrhea and chlamydia. For the mild infection, a single dose is given whereas in case of severe infection treatment should be given for at least one week, and response should be closely monitored by a doctor. However, you must consult your doctor before taking any antibiotic for treating gonorrhea and chlamydia.
