Pendrox Information

Pendrox is a prescription drug, available for use as Tablet. Bacterial Infections, Tonsillitis, Throat Infection are some of its major therapeutic uses. Pendrox also has some secondary and off-label uses. These are listed below.

The optimal dosage of Pendrox is largely dependent on the individual's body weight, medical history, gender and age. The condition it has been prescribed for, and the route of administration also determine the right dosage. For detailed information on this, read through the dosage section.

How does Pendrox work?

Pendrox contains cefalexin which is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is active against a wide variety of bacteria. It works by preventing the cell wall synthesis in bacteria by binding to specific proteins (penicillin-binding proteins). The cell wall protects the bacteria from the environment, in the absence of a cell wall, the bacteria becomes vulnerable and dies. Pendrox is effective against bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Beta-hemolytic streptococci, Moraxella catarrhalis, Staphylococci strains, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Proteus mirabilis, and Klebsiella species.

Can I take Pendrox with Benadryl?
